All We Really Want For Christmas
By: Miah Bentz
December is the year’s final to do. With a month full of keystones, midterms, schedule changes, applying for scholarships/colleges, sports, buying gifts, holiday work schedules, and trying to maintain Christmas joy, it seems like the month that’s supposed to be filled with the most magic is filled with the most stress.
Luckily we get 12 days of break and all we really want for Christmas is to be with the ones we love most. So take time to enjoy the sweetness of doing nothing and appreciate the ones who fill your life with love, warmth, and joy.
WintertideBy: Eirene HobbsWith the leaves all long fallen to the ground, and the crisp chill in the air, it’s hard not to be anticipating the first snow. Soon, flashing lights of red and green will light up every house on the street, and hot chocolate, spiced coffee, and tea will become a family staple once more. Carols and other classic Christmas songs will play incessantly on the radio. The tree’s barren branches that scrape against the sky will serve as the backdrop for snowball fights, sledding, and the laughter of those who love the coldness of the snow. With the beauty of winter, how could one not believe in the magic of wintertide? |
