On December 15th, world language students, language honorary Society members, and exchange students took their annual holiday trip to Pittsburgh. For several years, the students and their faculty sponsors have traveled to Pittsburgh where they celebrate the holidays with food, ice skating, and shopping in the Christmas market in Market Square.
This year, the French classes went to Paris 66, German classes went to Hofbrauhaus House, and the Spanish classes went to Las Velas for dinner. Each restaurant served allowed students to taste French, German, and Spanish meals.
Junior Laural Davis says “I went to the Hofbrauhaus House; I got a pretzel ham and cheese sandwich. It was a very good experience and a great way to spend time with my friends”.
After the students ate at the restaurants, they went to the Christmas Market where they were able to shop from more vendors than ever before with many holiday experiences and gifts. After the students shopped, they all went skating around the Christmas Tree.
Junior Noelle Doughery says “This was my 3rd time going and I’ve loved it every single time”. Students returned to the school around 9pm.
Spanish teacher, Señora Jones was happy with the event, saying “Students had a good time; it was overall a good experience!”.
