Seton Hill Child Services has been providing Angel Trees for kids of low-income families, located in Westmoreland County, for decades now. An Angel Tree is a program that works with families to provide faculty with kids’ clothing sizes and interests. It is a great way to give back to the community and help those in need.
Our Hempfield Area School District staff has joined SHCS in helping out kids in need. 54 members of our HASD staff came together and sponsored a total of 72 angel trees this year. Mr. Thompson has been doing Angel Trees through SHCS for about 5 years now. He loves the ability to help out not just the kids, but their families too.
Angel Trees are a massive nationwide effort that help over a million children just in the U.S. alone. Over the past few decades, SHCS has sponsored around 300 kids every year in Westmoreland County. Hopefully, Seton Hill Child Services’s efforts to help children in need are getting recognized, and persuading everyone around the world to do an angel tree helping those in need. They don’t care about what they get, as long as they get a happy holiday just like everyone else celebrating Christmas this year.
Happy Holidays!!!
