Friday Night Lights

It’s a Friday night in Football season, the crowds are roaring, the bleachers are full, the cheerleaders are rallying, the band is playing loudly throughout the whole stadium, and there the football team comes. All of the fans are ecstatic! All of us are dressed in our crazy outfits ready to cheer on our team.

When it comes to Friday night football games, everyone loves the themes. Cam Domasky is our Student Section Leader. He is skilled at getting everyone involved and building an energetic atmosphere. Domasky says, “I like being able to wear funny outfits, and [when everyone matches], it makes the overall student section look more cool.”

Gianna Giachetti, Contributor

Born in Uniontown, Gianna moved to Hempfield in 5th grade. Now a senior, Gianna is a well-rounded Spartan involved in Mini-THON, United Spartans, Girl's volleyball team, and leader of the "Spartan Empire" student section. This being Gianna's first year contributing to "The Royal", she is excited to help show the positive impact Hempfield has on her and others. Outside of school, Gianna loves to hangout with her friends, work out, spend time with family, and watch Netflix. Gianna especially loves listening to Billie Eilish and has even gone to see her in concert 4 times. Gianna's plans for the future are to attend a 4-year college in Florida where she will hopefully play volleyball. She is still unsure of what career path she is going to take but has many options that interest her. She is very excited to start this journey on "The Royal".
