It’s that time of the year again! The second semester scholarship studio is up and running.
Despite different friend groups, sports, and classes, one thing we can all understand is post graduation plans. The stress of college applications, acceptions or rejections, and the biggest of all: money. The reality of college expenses is becoming very real. How much does the school cost? How does it break down? How many scholarships will you receive from them? How about student loans and financial aid? All of these things become big stressors, but what can slightly lessen that burden, is applying for outside scholarships on your own.
The senior scholarship studio, sponsored by Alpha Omega and the Counseling Department overseen by Mrs. Testa and Mr. Thompson, is one of the best opportunities students have to achieve that goal.
On February 4th seniors are welcome to attend to have essays edited, hear about new opportunities, and apply for scholarships. Join us in a relaxing environment in the library with your peers where teachers are readily available to help. Seniors must pre-register for the event: REGISTER HERE!
Senior students will be allowed to attend during lunch periods, study halls, activity period, English classes, and any period in which they obtain teacher permission. Students will be allowed to bring lunches into the library if they’d like to utilize a working lunch, and as always, there will be snacks! Don’t miss out; register today.
