Born in Durham, North Carolina, but raised in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Clara Carmichael is currently a junior that attends Hempfield Area High School. This school year, Clara will serve as a contributor for The Royal. With this responsibility, she hopes to utilize her role to tell the stories of the students, faculty, and community members here at Hempfield Area. She is a member of Hempfield Area’s Varsity Girls Bowling Team where she and her team hold the Pennsylvania State Championship and East-Southeast Section titles. In addition to bowling, Clara is also a member of Hempfield Area’s FBLA Club, where she placed 1st for International Business at the FBLA Region 11 Conference. When Clara’s not keeping up with her academics and athletics, she enjoys dog-watching, bowling for fun with friends, and listening to music. Eventually, Clara hopes and dreams to attend Duquesne University for bowling and begin her career path in business.
