Alpha Omega Book Drive!

This year Hempfield Area’s National English Honor Society (NEHS/Alpha Omega) has started something new this December, one beneficial to our community and students within the district. The officers; Mallory Bitar (president), Jordyn Bowser (vice president), Mackenzie Thomas (secretary), Maddie Black (treasurer), Emerson Musgrove (historian), have all put together a book drive. They were collecting gently used books from December 8th to December 12th. These books could be of any genre and all ages. Students and Staff were able to drop off the books outside of the Auditorium.

We hope to see this carried on in years to come here at Hempfield Area!

Abby is a senior at Hempfield Area High School, and this year will serve as our Content Editor and Social Media Director. She is active in the Hempfield community as she is Community Outreach for the Mini-Thon admin team, apart of the National English Honors Society, French Honor Society, and a member of United Spartans. From a young age, Abby has had a passion for wrting. In her free time, she loves spending her time with family and friends alongside finding new adventures everyday. It’s even better when she gets to write about it. She looks forward to providing Hempfield Area with stories to inform and entertain! She lives by the bible verse Proverbs 4:23, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows through it”.
