Mrs. Daignault writes, “Eleven years ago, our threads of creativity first intertwined with the Westmoreland Museum of American Art at their temporary “Art 30” location on Route 30. What began as a single strand has since become a tradition woven year after year-of showcasing the remarkable talent of our students artists in this beautiful and inspiring space. We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support and partnership of the museum, which has allowed us to continue spinning this artistic tapestry.
The work you see on display has been carefully crafted throughout the school year in a variety of art classes including Art Studio Portfolio, Ceramics, Sculpture, Drawing and Painting, Digital Photography, and Photography Portfolio. Each piece adds its own unique thread to this richly layered exhibition.
In October, ore students visited WMAA and were profoundly inspired by Anila Quayyum Agha’s interwoven exhibition. Her masterful use of light, shadow, pattern, and embroidery left an indelible mark. Her ability to weave personal meaning into her installations resonated deeply with our students and ultimately inspired the title of our own exhibition: “Woven Together.””
